UBUNTU 

(community)

Ubuntu means "I am, because you are". In fact, the word ubuntu is a Xhosa phrase "Umntu ngumntu ngabantu", which literally means that a person is a person through other people. 

LOVING GOD 

Self love is one of those human challenges that can only be answered by understanding the Love of God first. It is also the greatest commandment of all. 

FAMILY

The greatest treasure we have on this earth is our family. We ought to learn to love and protect them by any means necessary.

 COMPASSION

We can never fullfil what we have been commissioned to do through this work if we have no compassion for our neighbor. What's to be Christlike without showing compassion as Christ did!

Camp of Good Hope is a Christian organization that operates on the foundation of biblical principles. 

We believe:

1. The Bible: The Holy Scriptures are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

2. One God: There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day.

4. Salvation: Salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ, and is available to all people.

5. The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the presence of God in our lives, guiding, empowering, and transforming us to be like Jesus Christ.

In accordance with our statement of belief, our mission at Camp of Good Hope is to:

- Provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children, youth, and families to grow in their independent faith and relationship with God.

- Offer programs, activities, and experiences that promote spiritual growth, character development, and community building.

- Serve our community with compassion, kindness, and humility, reflecting the love and teachings of Jesus Christ.

This Statement of Belief serves as the foundation for our programs, policies, and practices at Camp of Good Hope and does not represent our guests, participants and cooporate partners.

Board of Directors

Camp of Good Hope is a non-profit organization that relies on our Board of Directors for leadership and guidance. The Board meets throughout the year to guide the ministry of COGH and bring glory and honor to the Lord Jesus.
